The area On the Sunrise Side of Tampa Bay is a haven for artists. Many professional and amateur artists and photographers make their homes here and share in the enjoyment of the delightful Florida climate and the countless opportunities to view nature up close and personal.
Syd Entel Galleries and Susan Benjamin Glass in Safety Harbor carries a unique display of artistic works from artists around the world, along with works by local artists and artisans. They also host special appearances by renowned artists throughout the year. Dunedin Fine Arts Center offers instruction and an ideal environment for artistic development, and several boutique shops in Dunedin have art galleries as well.
Area artists join in a number of organizations designed to promote each others’ works and to encourage participation in displays and art fairs held throughout the year in Dunedin, Oldsmar and Safety Harbor as well as other nearby communities. Safety Harbor holds an annual ChalkFest to encourage sidewalk art and is working toward development of a community Art and Music Center.
